In the first leg of the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League, AC Milan has defeated the rival of Serie A and Napoli, who are at the top this season.

Milan defeated Napoli 1-0 at home. Ismail Benasser’s goal in the first half was decisive in Milan’s victory. He managed to score in the 40th minute with a pass from Rafael Leao.

In the Wednesday night match in Milan, Napoli kept the possession of the home team Milan and increased the pressure but could not score a goal and ended up losing in the first leg.

In the 74th minute, Andre Frank Zambo Anguissa was sent off after receiving a double yellow card four minutes apart, and Napoli’s chances of returning to the game were ruled out.

This victory has strengthened Milan’s chances of reaching the semi-finals. Now, if they maintain this result in the second leg at Napoli’s ground on 18 April, Milan will reach the semi-finals. Napoli need at least a 2-0 win.
